AFK Journey 1.8.2: Baden and Thane Banner Dates, Marene, and a Free Code

Patch 1.8.2 started phase 2 of Season 8, Veil of Memories, on October 29, 2026. It adds three new heroes, a new story quest and a batch of events. All dates below come from the official 1.8.2 calendar and are in UTC; the developers note that the schedule can still change in-game.

Banners

Hero	Where	Dates (UTC)
Baden	Rate-up recruitment	Oct 29 (after the update) to Nov 18, 23:59
Thane	Rate-up recruitment	Nov 13, 00:00 to Dec 3, 23:59
Marene	Stargaze Station	Available since the 1.8.2 update

The two rate-up banners overlap from November 13 to 18, so you can choose between Baden and Thane during that window. Marene also has her own limited event, Stormbound Seas, which runs until mid-November.

Free code

The patch preview came with a code. Redeem it in Settings → Others → Promo Code:

Code	Rewards
BadenWithThane	500 Diamonds, 20,000 Gold

The Halloween code Halloween2026 (10 Origami Hamsters, 500 Diamonds, 50,000 Gold) also works until December 1. See every working code on our AFK Journey codes page.
